Belltrees Forge specialises in hand-forged items for the home, including furniture, lighting, and accessories. They take design inspiration from nature, to create pieces that are both aesthetic and functional. Each of their wrought iron candlesticks is handmade by expert craftsmen using traditional techniques, so there’s no better accessory to add a touch of character to your home.
The History of Belltrees Forge
Belltrees Forge was established in 1998 in Ayrshire by Johnathan Eadie. Returning home after studying Blacksmithing at Hereford Technical College, Eadie travelled by motorbike to local craft and gift shops, proudly displaying the candlesticks he’d made. At this time, Eadie’s workshop was a makeshift BBQ forge set up in the corner of a barn on a nearby farm on Belltrees Road. With support from local shops and a little help from his girlfriend Amanda, Belltrees Forge was born.
22 years later, and Eadie’s commitment to traditional blacksmithing techniques hasn’t wavered. Belltrees Forge still hand-forges each piece over a coal fire with a hammer and anvil. It is this commitment to quality craftsmanship that has earned Belltrees Forge their reputation, and allowed the company to grow. Jonathan Eadie now presides over a small team of blacksmiths whom he is teaching his age-old skills.
